Project Description
Cuckoo Valley, Nancekuke, Cornwall
We were instructed to secure planning permission for a new Barn for processing apples into cider and storing the fermenting juice and machinery on a site of approximately 7 acres in the small hamlet of Nancekuke, Cornwall.
The site was on elevated land in a small valley with no existing buildings except for ruins of an old farm cottage. The new building of timber open plan design with natural timber external wall was to be situated adjacent to an existing Cornish hedge to help screen it from the south and dug into the slop to lessen its impact upon the landscape.
Plans were drawn and submitted to Cornwall Council and went through the local parish council and county council with no issues
