Peter Bowden MRICS, FAAV. studied agriculture and farm management at Seale-Hayne College, University of Plymouth. After spending seven years as a farm manager both in South Wales and West Cornwall, Peter worked on two horticultural units in New South Wales, Australia.
On returning to the UK Peter studied Rural Estate Management at The Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire. After successfully completing the course Peter joined rural farm business consultants, ADAS as a Surveyor advising a range of clients on rural planning, farm building design, farm diversification, pollution control and agri-environment grant schemes.
Peter was elected as a Professional Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 1992. Peter has been actively involved with the Devon and Cornwall Rural Surveyors faculty and has held posts as Vice- Chairman and Chairman. Peter is also a Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV) and a Registered RICS Valuer.
Peter’s professional experience includes work in the South West in both public and private sectors as well as consultancy in the United States. Peter is married with one daughter and a stepson. Away from work Peter enjoys cycling, walking, swimming and watching rugby.
